La Maison De Véronique - French Dollhouse (boxed, from Lego's old “Inspiration Inventory”, 1970s)
Very old and very confusing doll house, that at some point, was purchased by The Lego Group, and used as part of their "inspiration inventory" - a stockpile of toys, that the Lego Group hoarded until they almost went bankrupt in the late 90s, so they had to sell it off to employees.
We bought this, and hundreds of other toys, from two previous Lego employees, who were sitting a majority of these toys, and have confirmed both their identity, but also that Lego did indeed once own these toys, through contacts and friend who're currently working with The Lego Group.
This particular set though, doesn't have the classic label written on a typewriter, that we've seen with other toys; instead somebody just wrote straight onto the box, so it's harder to verify that this was once owned by Lego. You'll just have to take our word for it!
It's a very flimsy, hard to build doll house, with hundreds of parts, stickers and even fabric you need to sew yourself. You can definitely tell Lego was inspired by this.
Condition: Okay/good. The box is quite busted. We think it is complete, but there is aboslute no way of knowing. Everything we can see on the box, excluding dolls, looks like they're there - but given you're supposed to use the fabrics to make your own wallpaper, carpets etc., it's hard to even say when this thing is complete.
One piece made of very thin plastic, almost like a cup, has broken, and there's a tiny piece of plastic that has broken off from something, but we can't figure out what.
Some of the stickers have been used, and a few have not.
