Hello Kitty: Sunlgasses & Apple Swimsuit Figure (2000s)

This kitty is ready for the beach! Or... well, something. I don't get the apple. Also, why would she be wearing sunglasses, if she's going to swim? 

Maybe this is some kind of religious outfit? What kind of religion would she even practice though.. Some kind of ancient Egyptian magic, probably. Yeah. That's it. Makes sense to me.
