Mary Quant is a British fashion designer, who, in the 70s, decided to take on Barbie by creating her own fashion doll... and she actually kind of succeeded! While nobody ever really managed to knock Barbie off her throne (except maybe Bratz), the Daisy doll is still quite respected, even to this day.
