Kitty Care: "Poppy" Beige Cat Purple Hair Figure (Hornby, 1985)

In the 80s, after My Little Pony and Care Bears proved there was a huge market for "cute" toys, requiring children to treat them like pets almost, everybody wanted in, to varying degrees of succes. 

"Kitty Care" is the result of one of these efforts, by the little known toy manufacturer "Hornby", which is mostly known for producing model trains. 
In the 80s though, they seemingly tried to rebrand themselves - and boy, are we glad they did, because these figures are just amazingly cute. 

This one is called "Poppy".
